Not so far away from the Level and Open Market in Brighton is Baker Street. Not a patch on its London namesake, it did (for as long as I was a child living in Hanover in the 1980s) have a most mysterious barber shop.
I never went in. But old fashioned cuts were offered at original prices. You could get your barnet chopped for 120p. Do you remember it?
